ZUMA, a very popular game of puzzle, developed by PopCap Games, tests your ability of reflexes in this fast-paced action puzzler. It comprises of various levels where the frog has to be twisted and turned for the ball to pop at the place you desire the most. Match three or more balls of the same color for them to disappear and shorten the route. Incase the player fails to stop a ball reaching the pot-hole; the remaining balls are sucked in as well. In this case the level has to be played again with the loss of a life.
The aim of the game is to fill the yellow bar by matching three or more colored balls, which stops more balls from coming into the screen. To finish the level the player has to clear the table with the remaining balls before they could enter the hole.
In due course, as the player passes various levels the speed of the movement of the balls increases. The game is made more interesting with power-ups. Four different types of power-ups can be used by popping the ball which has one. The explosive can be used to pop balls up to a particular length in the string, the backwards power pushes the balls in the opposite direction, the accuracy power increases the length of the arrow to make the aim better and the slow-down power moves the balls slowly in the table. All these power-ups last only up to a short span of time.
The game has different modes of game play such as adventure mode and gauntlet mode. In the adventure mode the player starts off with just three lives. After which he can collect more by gathering points. Bonus points are awarded by fetching coins, shooting through gaps, exploding a huge number of balls simultaneously in a single shot and finishing a level within a very short span of time. There are various levels in this mode which gets the player addicted, with the urge to see the next level and complete it as soon as possible to gather more points for a high score.
The gauntlet mode offers the player to play any level from the adventure mode that they have completed earlier. They can either choose to beat the score or play in the endless mode where the speed of the balls increases and so does the difficulty with colors. Sun God, Eagle, Rabbit and Jaguar comprise of the classification in levels. This mode is also very addictive to play with.
